Because of this size, it is perfect for accepting small packages if you tend to get those a lot.  It is a very large and well made box, it’s actually larger than it looks.  It’s also a theft safe mailbox, there is a flap in which you can push packages through at the top, but in order to access the mail, you have to open the bottom half of the mailbox to get to the mail.
